Southern Harvest Association is excited to welcome Canberra City Farm and Urban Agriculture Australia as new partners.

We have agreed to cross-promote activities and work together where possible to promote and support our wonderful local food producers.

Southern Harvest is currently helping Canberra City Farm with their Local Food Box initiative.  Local producers and consumers interested in being involved are being asked to get in touch and participate in the Pilot Box and meeting on Sunday 21 August.  Find out more.

Canberra City Farm are a not-for-profit group interested in creating learning hubs and creatively share knowledge and experience of socially, economically and environmentally responsible food production and sustainable cities. In October 2015 Canberra City Farm successfully obtained a ten year licence to establish the Canberra City Farm Dairy Road Education Centre.  An Expressions of Interest process is currently open for anyone keen to get involved with this wonderful educational initiative.

Urban Agriculture Australia is a dynamic and resourceful collaboration between community based urban food farming groups, environmental groups and local businesses in the Canberra bio-region.

Urban Agriculture Australia is an initiative of Canberra City Farm.  Urban Agriculture Australia’s mission is to inform and educate our community about urban agriculture’s potential and how we can have a sustainable lifestyle, so that the community has control of the most essential items of daily life – secure and healthy food and shelter.

Canberra City Farm and Urban Agriculture Australia members will receive 50% discount on Southern Harvest membership fees.

We look forward to working closely with these groups in the future.
