Southern Harvest Members and local producers Helen Lynch and Bronwyn Richards of Wynlen House Slow Food Farm in Braidwood have been selected to receive sponsorship to attend the International Slow Food Conference, Terra Madre, in Italy in September this year.  Financial support from the Italian Slow Food organising committee and Slow Food Canberra will allow Helen and Bronwyn to represent ACT and South East Australia in international and national discussions about issues affecting small, local and regional food producers across the world.

As part of the Australian delegation they will participate in meetings, with both international and Australian growers and food activists, where issues impacting on small producers can be raised and solutions sought via sharing and learning about the experiences of small producers everywhere.

Small producers from ACT and South East NSW are encouraged to raise issues of interest with Helen and Bronwyn for representation at the conference. Please contact them at wynlenhouse@bigpond.com. The learning, solutions and insights will be shared via social media during and after the event. Please follow Slow Food Australia on Facebook for more information.
