GARDEN WORKING BEE & GARDEN SHARE – calling all gardeners
Bungendore Farmers Market, Saturday 28th of July from 9am-12pm.
The Farmers Market is combining with Bungendore Anglican to start a fruit and vegetable garden at the Anglican Hall, 27 Butmaroo St. Bungendore. The hall houses the wonderful Phil’s Emporium and Op Shop, as well as being the site of the Farmer’s Market each Saturday morning.
The plan is to build and fill our first raised garden bed on the site as well as digging some holes and planting fruit trees along the fence. Donations of seedling, trees ready for planting or mulch will be gratefully accepted. And……. While we have all the wonderful gardeners in one place we thought perhaps a garden share would be in order.
Come and share seeds, pots, compost, manure, worms, bulbs, garden tools, experience, mistakes and enthusiasm of with fellow gardeners. Participate either in kind or by gold coin donation. So bring your gloves, tools, excess garden stuff and enthusiasm to the market this Saturday. This is a community activity and everyone is welcome. The market is a lovely morning out with hot food and drinks available and a great atmosphere to sit and chat with friends. You can do your fresh food shopping for the week then grab a bargain in the op shop.
