Le Tres Bon is an Award Winning French restaurant that is a strong supporter of seasonal local produce. French Chef Christophe Gregoire is proud of the Bungendore region’s vibrant food and wine producing community and regularly showcases and celebrates local produce with special dinner events; truffles, chestnuts and seasonal vegetables from local farms.  Their Bungendore Harvest Festival ‘Trust the Chef’ Dinner on Friday 16th March is an event not to be missed, along with a traditional French Cooking Lunch Class from 10.30 to 2.00pm

The Big Green Cup Cafe: offering a Grazing Plate every day of the Festival, commencing 12pm Friday, which includes fresh and local meats cheese fruit and veg accompanied with local breads. Cost is $25 per head, with bookings preferred (to guarantee a seat!). Normal menu still available.  Their ‘theme’ for the weekend is local honey! They’ll be serving honey milkshakes, honey and ginger ice tea along with honey treats that will be baked fresh in the morning.

The Gathering Cafe and Gib St Courtyard Art Connection are coordinating a free event for the Harvest Festival. The gathering will be the hub of a little bit of this and that: permaculture talk by two locals living the experience, skin care products, locally sourced produce, single source milk.

Adam’s Patisserie will be tempting you with fresh baked Mediterranean style cakes, baklavas, slices, biscuits and breads direct from their kitchen.  You will find these delicious baked goods among the market stalls in Ellendon Street on Saturday from 10AM – 4PM.

Cafe Wood Works is a vibrant and welcoming space surrounded by exquisite art and craft. Our freshly prepared meals are generous in size and flavour, and made from locally sourced produce when possible. Our friendly and accommodating staff will greet you with a warm welcome.  open 10AM-5PM daily and for dinner on Saturday night from 6PM.  Located right in front of the market stalls, on the corner of Ellendon and Malbon Streets.

Cannoli Brothers – If you’ve had the pleasure of trying cannoli then you know how delicious it can be. The Cannoli Brothers team are making cannoli to a recipe perfected to exact flavour and texture profiles to make it just right to bring to the Bungendore Harvest Festival.  The CB team use Australian ingredients, and source locally where possible including local eggs, dairy from the southern highlands and seasonal fruit, flour from Young and all Australian sugar. The freshly made cannoli shells are filled to order on site with a range of sweet custards, creams and cheese fillings. Find them among the market stalls on Saturday and take some home for a Saturday night treat…if it lasts that long.

Caroola Farm – will have a range of fresh produce from the farm, but, importantly will be cooking up a big batch of gluten and preservative-free beef sausages served with our famous Caroola Farm salad and your choice of sauce – come and see us Saturday in Ellendon Street.

Contentious Character  is a contemporary vineyard estate with winery, cellar door, kitchen, and function facilities. They offer a unique tasting experience with their extensive range of aged vintages, from their Founders Museum collection. These aged wines have matured exceptionally well with cellaring and now present a mellow complexity, way beyond their value. They are complemented by the new releases of recent vintages, under the Contentious Character brand. Open Friday 5-8pm, Saturday and Sundays 10am to 5pm. Look across the vineyard and surrounding countryside, while their kitchen serves up a fresh, local, sharing menu, including wood fired dishes, and charcuterie, all paired to the wines. That’s hardly contentious! You’ll also find their aged wines at the Bungendore Harvest Festival market stalls on Ellendon Street on Saturday from 10AM-4PM.

Corang EstateThe essence of Corang Estate is about celebrating the unique wine flavours and cool climate styles of the NSW Southern Tablelands. Our regional selection showcases fine examples of the wines this area has to offer, which in time will be complimented by our own estate-grown Shiraz and Tempranillo from our vineyard at Nerriga. We feel the Hilltops and Tumbarumba regions of the Southern Tablelands are producing some of Australia’s most exciting wines at the moment. We have selected superb examples of these, working closely with winemaker, and growers to ensure top quality.

Dewsburys Free Range Pork focus on producing ethically raised, high quality free range pork grown using a pasture based rotational grazing system. Dewsburys will be serving up Pork and Slaw Rolls from their Pig on the Spit.

Fat Baby Thai restaurant at 36A Gibraltar St Bungendore will be serving up dishes with local ingredients

Good Life Food will bring fresh Indonesian and Balinese street food to Bungendore.  Daniar uses locally grown organic vegetables and eggs and meat from local suppliers. No MSG is used. Because Good Life Food care for our land, plastic usage is minimised. Take-away containers are made from bamboo, not corn starch, and cutlery is made from wood.  you’ll find Good Life Food at the market stalls on Ellendon Street from 10AM-4PM on Saturday 17th March.

The Gathering Cafe will be a hub of activities.  Join two locals to hear about their experiences with permaculture and try the end results with skin care products for you to try or purchase.  Enjoy fantastic coffee and fresh healthy food at the Gathering Cafe which sources local produce such as Long Paddock eggs, Lonsdale St Roasters coffee, Wynella meat, Little Big Dairy Co: a single source milk fresh produce straight from the veggie patch or try the fabulous in-house cooked french apple tart or maybe a slice of strawberry shortcake.  Look for the scarecrows out the front of 10 Gibraltar St and join in crafty harvest painting for the children or maybe have a game of two of Pumpkin and Squash Noughts and Crosses: its all free.

Idyllic Hills -Idyllic Hills vineyard is situated at an elevation of 620m above sea level, in beautiful Murrumbateman. The vineyard is located in the heart of the cool climate wine region of the Canberra district.

Lark Hill Winery – Enjoy lunch as you gaze out over Lark Hill’s biodynamic vineyard – the menu features produce grown on our farm, as well as regional, organic and biodynamic produce. Lark Hill takes Saturday and Sunday lunch tables up to 7 seats at 12:00, 12:45 and 13:30PM.  Bookings recommended.

Long Paddock Eggs – Long Paddock Eggs focuses on the production of good tasting, pastured, free range eggs. Our farming practices are sustainable. Egg Sales plus Bacon and Egg Rolls.

RnR’s Diner – Roy and Ryan from ‘R n Rs’ welcome you to visit their New and Exciting American 50/60’s themed Diner where you will be greeted with relaxed, friendly, country style hospitality. Enjoy our home style cooking – all fresh made to order and with great prices to match!  Open 7AM-5PM in the Village Square, across the road from the market stalls.

Royal Hotel is a classic country pub and will have Royal Dark beer available throughout the Bungendore Harvest Festival and a focus on St Patricks Day with a band for Saturday evening.  The bistro is always a popular choice for lunch or dinner.  Local meat and vegies will be on the menu.  The Royal Hotel offers basic accommodation, but it’s clean and friendly, so why not stay for the weekend?

Sapling Yard – A boutique winery making hand crafted wine using grapes sourced from their vineyard together with premium fruit carefully selected from premier vineyards in Murrumbateman and Tumbarumba. Located at Charley’s Forest 25km north of Braidwood.

Summerhill Road Vineyard is a boutique winery in the Bungendore Region with handpicked and handcrafted award-winning wine. They will have fine wines available for sale as well as wine jelly.

The Carrington Inn offers a range of dining options including an la carte salon, relaxed tavern dining and a Garden Room with its signature offerings including MyTea® – Personal-Size High Teas and Box-Lunch under the Elms. The Carrington is a fresh wholefood establishment that uses local produce when available. Food is prepared on-site with fresh and whole ingredients.  The Carrington will have regional food and beverages for sale throughout the weekend.

The George Bar and Dining offer great food made with locally sourced Australian meat, seafood and produce served in comfortable, family friendly and relaxed surroundings, fantastic wine from the Canberra District and amazing craft beer and cider.  Throughout the Bungendore Harvest Festival, they will showcase the region’s superb produce Bookings for meals are recommended, or drop by to sample local wine and craft beer anytime.

The Mad Falcon will be selling gourmet burgers, chicken drumsticks, homemade coleslaws and desserts.
