About Karen
The Nethercote Seasonal Produce Market is a not-for-profit market run quarterly (4th Sat in Jan, Apr, Jul & Oct) in and around the Nethercote Hall, near Pambula and Eden, NSW.
All fruit and vegetables are produced by local growers whose gardens range from single beds to flourishing orchards and whose supply can be half a bucket of lemons and three sprigs of mint or 300 avocados. Gardeners pick their produce the night before or early that morning, bring their wares to market and sell to Karen and Barbara who run the stall for minimum profit. Their aim has been to get fresh local food onto local tables.
