Answer your most asked questions about wine and enhance your enjoyment of wine in this wine appreciation course lead by Carla Rodeghiero, winemaker at Sapling Yard Wines. An optional dinner will be held in week 6.
The first night is a ‘try first’ night and will be $50 for 2 hours exploring the basics of tasting and appreciating wine and the wine show system. 8 wines will be tasted. Glasses will be supplied by Carla on this night. There will be an optional ‘sign up’ for the remaining 4 classes with the total cost of $250 (less the $50 from the first night). The proposed start date is Thursday 19 May (to be confirmed) at the Bungendore School of Arts 7pm-9pm.
Course Content
Week 1 – How to taste wine, some basics on the wine show system and what medals really mean
Week 2 – How white wine is made, white wine varieties
Week 3 – How red wine is made, red wine varieties
Week 4 – The question of quality vs price, climate and wine style
Week 5 – Sparkling wine, sweet wine and fortified wine
Week 6 – Optional wine dinner and wine options game

When and Where
2 hour class for 5 weeks, beginning in May, at Bungendore School of Arts 7pm-9pm. Starting date to be confirmed, but Thursday 19th May is the proposed date).
Cost
$250 (for all 5 classes) $50 payable upfront for the first class. If you miss a class we will do catch up classes.
