The Bungendore Harvest Festival is organised by Southern Harvest Association.

It is an annual celebration of local, cold climate food, drink and fibre. It explores how produce is grown in this region, where it is grown, where consumers may access it, how to prepare it, use it, eat it and drink it. The Festival occurs across a weekend to encourage overnight visitors to the region.

The Bungendore Harvest Festival encourages and promotes the integrity and freshness of the region’s produce and actively promotes our local food, farming and fibre related businesses.

From FRIDAY – SUNDAY, local food venues are encouraged to showcase locally sourced food and drinks on their menus for the enjoyment of locals and visitors alike. Assistance with sourcing local produce can be provided via Southern Harvest. If you are a local RESTAURANT, CAFÉ, CLUB, PUB, or BISTRO and would like to register a local food event for the weekend, you can do so here.

On the SATURDAY, from 10am-4pm the streets of Bungendore will again come alive with market stalls, talks, demonstrations, short courses and festive activities. Market stalls are welcomed from farmers and producers growing, sourcing and producing within the Southern Harvest Region. STALLHOLDER application forms can be found here. We also welcome local BUSINESSES, COMMUNITY GROUPS AND CLUBS to get involved with a harvest related activity, talk, demo, game, or anything else you can think of. If you would like to get involved in this way you can register here.

SUNDAY will give visitors the chance to explore further afield and recognise Bungendore and surrounds as a regional food, wine and produce destination. Visitors will participate in farm and winery tours, sample the freshest and finest local food, and attend half day, intensive courses focused on farming, producing, making and creating. If you would like to hold a FARM TOUR OR INTENSIVE event on the Sunday, please fill in this form so that we can promote your event in the media. We do have some venues available if you do not have your own as well as the facilities to run ticketing through our festival website.

We are planning a COMMUNITY HARVEST LONG TABLE LUNCH in Bungendore at 1pm Sunday. This will allow people to attend tours and courses in the morning and afternoon and share a community lunch in the middle. We would like to provide people with the option to buy a package deal ticket to increase participation.

The Bungendore Harvest Festival aims to have the participation of as many farms, wineries, producers and local businesses as possible. Together we can promote Bungendore as a regional food and tourism destination, profile our amazing regional produce, celebrate our farming history and continue to build our community.

If you are a farmer or producer based in the Southern Harvest Region and would like to access stall holder discounts, business listing on our website, education, networking and sales opportunities and more, you can become a member of Southern Harvest here.

If you would like to lend your support but do not wish to be directly involved, please consider becoming a SPONSOR.
