Rose – Slow Sourdough

Rose had been making sourdough from her home in Braidwood for a few years, and increased baking during Covid, sneaking loaves into friends’ mailboxes while driving a sleeping baby.

When restrictions eased there were requests for bread, and slow sourdough was born.
The aim of slow sourdough is to provide simple, good quality bread and muffins, made with minimal ingredients and slow fermented for maximum digestibility.

The bread is kept simple and basic, just organic flour water and Celtic sea salt, while the muffins contain organic flour, tilba milk, sugar and Celtic sea salt.

Slow sourdough bread and muffins are available at the Southern Harvest Co-op store on Fridays and Saturdays, and half loaves of bread are available at the Braidwood Arts and General Store on Thursdays.
