The Autumn market garden on a small mixed farm can be a busy place. Preparations for winter are beginning and the last of the summer fruit and vegetables are in abundance ready for harvest. In cold climate Australia this is when tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, peppers and chili plants are producing at top capacity. This is the time to plant new, and nurture January plantings for the winter season.

SLOW FOOD CAFE
We will also be running a slow food cafe serving a modest “garden to plate” menu of all the produce we have available. This includes light cafe meals and snacks created from our vegetables and preserves, table poultry, and our eggs, which many customers regard as the best eggs you will ever taste. Open from 11am -2.30pm

SELF GUIDED TOUR USING QR CODES
Make sure you have a QR code reader on your smart phone or tablet so you can scan the codes placed around the market garden and poultry pens. Watch video or hear mini lectures about a garden space or garden activity as you walk around the vegetables.

Entry into the garden is $7 per person, $20 for a family. You can use the cafe without entering the market garden. Location: 92 Monkittee St., Braidwood.
