Southern Harvest Farmers Market at Queanbeyan, Thursday 26th of July.
As well as doing your weekly fresh food shop, you can warm yourself around the fire, sip a hot mulled drink, coffee or chai from Nellie’s Cafe and Bar, listen to the carols, roast an apple on a stick, a Dewsbury’s Free Range Pork sausage on a skewer or a home made marshmallow from A Forager’s Heart. Join us for music and festivities from 3pm to 7pm. There will also be fresh fruit and vegetables, Idyllic Hills wine, Adam’s Patisserie cakes and pastries, Bees R Us honey and other bee products, preserves from Dot’s Homemade Jams, Fruit and Veg from Hill Lock Orchard, Long Paddock Eggs, The Gyoza Guy, and hopefully Caroola Farm will have made it back to civilisation.

GARDEN WORKING BEE & GARDEN SHARE – calling all gardeners
Bungendore Farmers Market, Saturday 28th of July from 9am-12pm.
The Farmers Market is combining with Bungendore Anglican to start a fruit and vegetable garden at the Anglican Hall, 27 Butmaroo St. Bungendore. The hall houses the wonderful Phil’s Emporium and Op Shop, as well as being the site of the Farmer’s Market each Saturday morning.

The plan is to build and fill our first raised garden bed on the site as well as digging some holes and planting fruit trees along the fence. Donations of seedling, trees ready for planting or mulch will be gratefully accepted. And……. While we have all the wonderful gardeners in one place we thought perhaps a garden share would be in order.

Come and share seeds, pots, compost, manure, worms, bulbs, garden tools, experience, mistakes and enthusiasm of with fellow gardeners. Participate either in kind or by gold coin donation. So bring your gloves, tools, excess garden stuff and enthusiasm to the market this Saturday. This is a community activity and everyone is welcome. The market is a lovely morning out with hot food and drinks available and a great atmosphere to sit and chat with friends. You can do your fresh food shopping for the week then grab a bargain in the op shop.
