THREE GULLIES FARM TREE PLANTING & TOUR
When James and Leisa purchased Three Gullies Farm in October 2016, there were only 7 trees on 106 Acres. The land was crying out for some rest and healing. And WOW!! through the generosity of many friends and volunteers, so far a whopping 2800 natives have successfully been planted, in addition to over 100 food bearing trees.

On the 7th of October they are planning a modest planting with the aim of filling in some gaps and replanting where some didn’t make it. In the afternoon, around 3.00pm, we will take you on a walking tour of the property, to see how we are transforming this blank canvas into a regenerative farming system, that will work as one with nature.

What to Bring?: Picnic lunch, water bottle, hat, sunscreen, sturdy shoes and gloves.

SOUTHERN HARVEST AGM, SPRING GATHERING & POT LUCK DINNER
Join the Southern Harvest Community and hear what we have achieved in the past year as well as help us plan for the year to come. There are so many exciting projects, ideas and activities to discuss such as markets, produce boxes, new facilities and producers, Harvest Festival, Permaculture Festival, Advocacy Projects and partnerships with other wonderful organisations in our region.

A new committee will be elected at this time. If you are a member and would like to nominate yourself of someone else for an executive committee position, you can download a nomination form here. There are also many other areas of Southern Harvest you can put your hand up to be involved with that does not involve being on the executive. We are always looking for people with media, promotion, website, grant writing, financial, labouring, education, administrative and anything else you can think of skills.

If you would like to become a member you can do so here. There is a level of membership to suit all needs, with discounts for members of partner organisations Canberra City Farm, Slow Food Canberra, COGS, Urban Agriculture Australia, FuturePlans, and SCPA.

After, what is planned to be a short and sweet meeting we will indulge in good company and food with a Pot Luck dinner under the sky. Please bring something to share and your own beverages. A little note with each plate would be appreciated, which clearly lists ingredients for those with allergies.

This is a family friendly event, however no dogs please.
