Southern Harvest is very excited to have a brand new community store in Bungendore! This store is right in the middle of town, on the corner of the village square which puts us in a great position to service the local Bungendore community. We have also relocated the weekly Saturday farmers market to the village square.

The community store functions much like the community stall at the farmers market, with many of our member farmers and producers able to sell their fresh fruit and veg, preserves, meat, eggs, dairy, olive oil, honey pasta (and more!!) through the store. We also have a regular delivery of fresh bakery goods from Three Mills Bakery on Wednesdays, and a selection of fresh-frozen bread throughout the week as well.

The shop is volunteer run and we are currently aiming to be open from 8.15-4pm Mon/Wed/Fri and from 9-4 on weekends.
Or pop in during the Southern Harvest Farmers Markets 9-12 every Saturday.

We would love a few more volunteers on board – email hello@southernharvest.org.au if you’d like to be involved!

The community store is connected to the Sapling Yard Cellar Door and the newly opened Scrumpers Kitchen restaurant run by SHA legend Ruth Gaha Morris! Scrumpers Kitchen serves up produce-driven dishes made from SHA-sourced ingredients. We’re talking beautiful salads featuring Prana tomatoes and High Valley herbs, Value Life Farm pork loin poached in Sapling Yard Four Pinots wine and served with a Brightside Produce escarole salad. And wattleseed meringue with gorgeous paddock products peaches for dessert, followed by a Tilba Cheeseboard!

Scrumpers Kitchen is open for dinner on Monday and Thursday, for lunch and dinner on Friday and for breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday.

The Sapling Yard Cellar Door is open for tastings on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Head to 23 Malbon St Bungendore to check them out! We’re looking forward to seeing you there.
