Description

Supper Club September edition with Jerrabatt Gully Farm

Geoff and Colleen have been farming at Jerrabatt Gully in Wamboin, NSW, for over 30 years, since 1995, supplying year round vegetables and fruit to the Canberra and Bungendore community. Their farm includes three greenhouses alongside outdoor cultivation, a small orchard of apples and pears, and a small number of goats.

Sustainability sits at the heart of what they do. The farm draws on a licensed bore and an extensive roof water-harvesting system connected to sheds and greenhouses, and the couple make their own compost and seed raising mix, save their own seed, and grow all their own seedlings. The farm also features established perennial as well as annual plantings. Geoff is a meticulous local weather tracker as well, keeping extensive records of patterns over the past 30 years.

You will find Jerrabatt Gully produce at the Bungendore Farmers Market each week, as well as through the Southern Harvest produce box scheme. They also open their farm gates for guided tours during the annual regional Harvest Festival.
