SUNDAY LONG LUNCH & FARM TOUR
at Branch & Burrow farm, 19th of April

Description

AUTUMN LONG LUNCH & FARM TOUR

In celebration of the International Year of the Woman Farmer, join us for a special collaboration between two passionate advocates of food sovereignty in our region: Sam Hawker of Garden Kitchen Witch*n, and Suz, Trent and family from Branch and Burrow Farm.

Set on the beautiful Branch and Burrow Farm just outside Braidwood, this on-farm feast invites you to slow down, connect, and experience the care and intention woven into every aspect of the land and its produce. Your afternoon begins with a generous long lunch featuring Branch and Burrow’s pasture-raised chicken alongside a seasonal menu that celebrates the very best of the region’s fruit and vegetables. As we settle in, enjoy a relaxed Q&A exploring the experiences and perspectives of women working in food and farming today. Dessert will showcase the abundance of seasonal fruit, before we conclude with time to wander, connect, and take in the landscape. We’ll then gather for a guided farm tour, offering insight into the regenerative practices and deep stewardship that shape this thriving small farm.

About the Hosts

Suz, Trent and family – Branch and Burrow Farm
Branch and Burrow is a small family farm just outside Braidwood, dedicated to regenerative practices that restore and nurture the landscape. Since 2018, Suz and her family have been building a farm that is deeply connected to community and local economy, steadily expanding their offerings since 2021—beginning with their much-loved pasture-raised chickens.

Sam Hawker – Garden Kitchen Witch*n
Sam has been part of the Southern Harvest community for over a decade, working across permaculture farming, education, ecosystem restoration, and farmers’ markets. Now focused on creating vibrant, locally sourced food experiences, Sam brings a deep commitment to ethical, ecologically mindful food and storytelling through shared meals.
