Winter Market at Dairy Road

Celebrate seasonal produce at the Dairy Road Winter Market.
Explore the best of cold climate produce. Fine foods (such as truffles, wine, garlic, olives and much more), and the Cellar Door wine market will be inside The Vault, beside garden of food trucks. Like a chef’s market, you’ll have direct access to premium and rare goods from the region as well as delicious ready-to-eat goodies. Seasonal producers will be selling winter goods from regional farms in collaboration with the Southern Harvest Association.

There will also be live jazz from The Fringe of Squaredom playing throughout the day, and songs from rising star Ruby Holden.

As part of the Winter Market, renowned French Chef Christophe Gregoire will be hosting two truffle cooking demonstrations.

Local Wines

Collector Wines – Consistently recognised at regional and national wine shows, our wines showcase the Canberra region and fine winemaking. Alongside riesling, chardonnay and shiraz, Alex has focused on emerging varieties that he knows have an exciting future in the region, such as pinot meunier, gruner veltliner, fiano and sangiovese.

Intrepidus Wines – Chrissy Smiths makes wines that are each a little off the beaten track: “I try to experiment with her wines to learn as much as I can, from the varieties I have to play with, while still producing quality wines in the bottle.”

Nick O’Leary Wines – Award winning Nick O’Leary wines is situated in the picturesque Hall Valley, in the Murrumbidgee River corridor, just outside the ACT, the estate incorporates a modern winemaking facility and a mature 5-hectare vineyard.

Quarry Hill Wines – Quarry Hill is a boutique, family owned and run vineyard situated just outside Canberra and is part of the Canberra cool-climate district. The vineyard was established by Professor Deane Terrell after he completed his tenure as Vice Chancellor of the ANU.

 Ambrosia Distillery – Local distillery based at Dairy Road making high quality flavoured spirits. Andrew and the team will be selling hot toddys at the market.

Hold Fast Distillery – Braidwood distillery based in the Historic Braidwood Hotel, making nautically inspired gins, vodka and whisky.

Riverbourne Distillery – The natural spring waters, climate and mountainous environment produce spirits with a unique flavour profile distinctive to the Captain’s Flat region. The distillery currently has over 15,000 Litres of rum and whisky ageing in French and American oak casks (a minimum of 3 years) and have different representations of whisky available now.

Clarke & Kealy Distillery – Local Gin distiller featuring truffles in 2 varieties!

Canberra City Farm – Local community garden with education and demonstration gardens.

Arts & Crafts

Pacawoolly – Alpaca fibre and beautiful handmade garments from Michelago. Yarn, beanies, shawls, hand warmers, scarves, toys etc all made from alpaca fibre.

Elbow Workshop – Beautifully designed leather carry goods, jewellery, homewares and more. Made onsite at Dairy Road.

Resin Doll Designs – Unique resin designs and hair accessories are fully hand sewn, hand cast and hand painted to ensure everyone has their own piece of wearable art!

Sue’s Creations – Handmade dog coats and accessories.

Simon Ray Photography – Simon’s passion is capturing the beauty of the landscape around him and reminding people just how precious this world is. Based in the ACT region, all prints of his images are printed on museum grade, archival photographic papers or canvas. Jigsaw puzzles and acrylic blocks are also available.
