Canberra Region Winter Festival
17-19 July 2026
Winter is a time of amazing abundance in the Canberra Region.
The Southern Harvest Winter Festival is a celebration of winter in all its richness – bringing together local food, seasonal produce, growers, makers, artists, experiences and community connection in the heart of Canberra’s cooler season.
Held across three days in July, the festival showcases the incredible diversity, creativity and passion of our region through vibrant markets, curated food experiences, workshops, tours, live music and seasonal celebrations.
At its heart, the Winter Festival is about connection:
Connection to local food and producers.
Connection to the land and the changing seasons.
Connection between community, culture, creativity and shared experiences.
The festival creates opportunities for local businesses, farmers, artisans, chefs, makers and experience providers to come together and share what makes our region unique during winter.
This is part of the greater truffle season, running from the winter solstice for around 9 weeks, and plans to celebrate all the produce of the Canberra Region in winter.
