Get involved and do a workshop (or four) between some serious stall browsing and scrumptious eating at Bungendore Harvest Festival

Book four or more of our activities, over the course of Harvest Festival weekend, and receive $5 CASH BACK per activity.


Carla Rodeghiero, winemaker from Sapling Yard will be presenting a shiraz

Eight high quality wines from France, Canberra, Mclaren Vale, Heathcote Victoria and the Barossa valley will be tasted. Participants will learn to compare local wines with examples from different regions of Australia and France.

The class will cover regional differences in wine making techniques and climatic
influence. This class will run for approximately an hour and a half and promiseseducation and enjoyment.

Carla is a Charles Sturt University Wine Science Graduate, has completed the
advanced wine assessment course at Adelaide University and holds WSET (wine and spirit education trust) certification.

3pm in the Rose Cottage at the Carrington. Tickets cost $40 per person.

Natural Body Care Products

Crafting natural, ethical soap body care products – from Me&Mow Soap an extension of Tatum Hills Farm. Learn to make easy salves, body butters and lip balms using simple natural ingredients. Find out how to formulate your own recipes and customise them seasonal ingredients. In this hands on workshop you will make products to take home and enjoy. Workshop will run Saturday morning 10-11am in the Rose Cottage at the Carrington Inn.

Flower Growing & Arranging in Your Own Garden

Join Elisa, From The Paddock – Garden Consultant, to learn how to grow beautiful flowers in you own garden and arrange them into stunning bouquets to give away or display. This workshop includes flowers to arrange into a generous bouquet to take home.

Workshop will be 10am and 2pm in the Harvest demonstration and workshop tent.

Saturday at Harvest Festival Prana Produce will be offering tastings of our bliss balls, muesli and chai at their stall throughout the day.

Rocket Stove Demo – Making & Using Rocket Stoves

Brought to you by AWOL – a demonstration and re-learning space where Sam and Frank are living consciously and are actively engaged with providing for their own needs.

See in action the stove they have made from on old gas patio heater and work through aspects of the building and use of rocket stoves in general.

Workshop at 9am at the Harvest Festival demonstration and Workshop tent.

Compost Clinic

Landtasia Organic Farms composting clinic. Would you like to know more about home composting, bokashi buckets and/or worm wrangling? Your host, Simone, is the compost manager at Landtasia where she makes certified organic compost for market gardeners and farmers. Simone shares her knowledge gardeners and growers keen to recycle their food scraps and organic waste into good stuff for their gardens and soil. Bring along your questions and queries, problems and disasters. The talk will cover the basics of composting, bokashi buckets and worm farming with a practical bucket science approach. Topics up for discussion include: • How to compost your kitchen and garden waste • How to set up and care for a worm farm • How to use a bokashi bucket • How to compost your pet wastes, meat and other icky things.

Event will commence at 11am, venue, dependant on numbers, to be confirmed.


Welcome sewers, cutters and volunteers to help making bags. Please join us in helping the community to reduce plastic waste. 1pm in the CWA Hall.
