FESTIVAL MARKET ACTIVITIES – Saturday 15th of April 2023
THE TALK TENT – 1030am -130pm you can experience short talks about, demonstrations with and tastings of local produce and products.
1030am: Linda from Landtasia will tell us about using compost and its benefits for plant and soil health, as well as discuss the knowledge gained from our organic demonstration gardens the past 2 years.
1100am: Ben from 8 Frame Honey will show us and tell us about the basic equipment you need to start beekeeping.
1215pm: Leisa from Three Gullies Farm will be telling us about the benefits of tallow, why and how you can be using it.
100pm:Fiona from the Bent Shed will be cooking up some native flavoured treats before your very eyes. Come along and taste a warrigal green pancake, with whipped wattleseed cream and Davidson Plum sauce.
GARLIC TASTING
Not all garlic is created the same, there is a wide variety of different flavours as well as colours, growing habits and harvesting times.Vele at Garlic Kingdom will have garlic tasting available all day at his stall.
Learn the 11 garlic sub groups, and how to differentiate garlic cultivars within a sub group. Tasting raw garlic from each sub group and you decide if purple garlic is really better than white? Available for tasting will be cultivars from Canada, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Vietnam, Macedonia, Spain, Poland….. travel the world through your taste buds!

A festival favourite, RB carriage and coaches will be joining us again this year. Jump on board and travel around the village in a horse drawn vehicle and get a high up view of all the festivities.

Come and meet and chat with some of our amazing Bungendore emergency service personnel. Checkout fire vehicles, storm vehicles and boats 🙂

Come along and get a taste of farm life! Saturday 15th, 2-5pm
Join us for a relaxed guided tour of An Alternative Life Farm. Stroll around the orchards and food gardens, meet the chickens and ducks, see a wide range of growing systems including our off grid aquaponics and undercover gardens. Get a bunch of inspiring ideas and helpful information about growing your own food.
Afternoon tea of farm produce included. Range of farm produce and products available for sale on the day.
