Today Southern Harvest Association welcomed Canberra Organic Growers Society as the second organisation to formalise a partnership agreement with us.

Southern Harvest Association and Canberra Organic Growers Society have a common goal to promote local and regional food production and consumption and agree to share information about each other’s activities with their own membership and subscription base.

Canberra Organic Growers Society are a group of gardeners (mainly urban) dedicated to growing their own organic fruit and vegetables, either in backyards or community gardens.  Their web site contains information on various practical aspects of organic gardening and is particularly relevant to the Canberra region.  It also provides information about their community gardens, notices of coming events of interest to gardeners and a blog which includes gardening questions and answers.

Canberra Organic Growers Society members will receive 50% discount on Southern Harvest membership fees.

Southern Harvest looks forward to working with Canberra Organic Growers Society to encourage more people to grow their own food and choose to eat local and regionally grown food.
