Sappling Yard – Wine Tasting
18 years after the first planting at Charley’s Forest, Braidwood, Sapling Yard has earned its stripes, expanding from a 200-case production in 2013 to 3000 cases in 2025.
This unique tasting experience includes six hand-picked wines. Participants will hear directly from Carla, founder, director, and winemaker, as she shares the inspiration, the story, and the journey behind Sapling Yard.
The Sapling Yard team brings dedication, authenticity, and creativity to winemaking and is recognised through numerous awards and trophies, including the recent Trophy for the 2025 Fiori (best white wine blend featuring Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, and Pinot Blanc) Gold for the 2024 Shiraz Viognier, Silver for the Entrechat (Sparkling) and Silver for the 4 Pinots Rose at the recent 2026 National Wine Show. All wines are included in the tasting experience.
The tasting will take place in the Not-so-Tiny House on Wheels from Adapt Homes, a unique and unexpected setting that is not your normal location for a wine tasting.
